You can read more about “The Evils of Apollo” on the bottom of page 46 of the book “Joe Yee and His Lures” and you can see a photo of the catalog on page 31.
Since they are not made anymore, there are not many of these left – particularly in pristine, unfished condition like this one. Occasionally one will pop up from a collection, or from an old fisherman that bought one just to have. This lure was purchased as part of a small collection from a gentleman who lived and fished in Hawaii in the 70’s and 80’s. He would occasionally go buy a Yee, but just put them on display or stored them and never put his ‘Collector Yees’ in the water.
You can see in the many photos shown that this head is in beautiful condition. We couldn’t help removing the old faded skirts that were still on it from 30 years ago and replacing them with (what else?) the Evil combination!
This lure is guaranteed authentic, old and unfished and pristine. The Evil label is on the top and Joe’s label is on the bottom of the head. We had a couple Evils at one time, but this is the only one we have left.
Please Note! The book shown in the photos is NOT part of this sale: it is only used for reference.
Apollo was probably Joe’s most popular 12” lure and works great on the riggers. You might want to fish this lure, but we might recommend keeping it as a treasure.
