This Triple Plunger has teddy bear eyes and classic hologram inserts. Several different labels were used for Triple Plungers over time: this authentic label is the classic Joe Yee Honolulu Hawaii label and is prominently up by the end of the nose on the underside.
The triple-poured head has a blue and yellow top. The head alone is 5 ½” long and weighs almost a pound and a half. ** See Note Below**
Dan skirted this Yee in traditional Hawaiian style with vinyl upholstery material in Blue Metal Flake and White. Skirted, this lure weighs over a pound and a half and is 22” long.
This Triple Plunger was made by Joe Yee, is from the personal collection of Dan Magers, author of the Joe Yee book, and is guaranteed authentic.
NOTE FROM DAN MAGERS: I noticed while preparing this lure for sale, that there is an error on page 114 of my book “Joe Yee and His Lures” – Triple Plungers. The graphic designer used the wrong template for that page, and the dimension and photo size are wrong. Triple Plunger is 5 ½” long NOT 6 ¼” long. In addition, the skirt saddles are 2 ¼” for 18” skirts, not 1 7/8” for 16” skirts. I proofed this book 3 times and never noticed. It also speaks to the rarity of Triple Plungers, as not one mention has been made to me about this in the 3 years the book has been on the market. – DM
